Is Nepal Different than Other Poor Nation?
Is Nepal Different than Other Poor Nation?
Well, most of us know that poor countries tend to have corruption as the number one reason for natives to bear. As I am from Thailand and wanted to share with you for those Teens who might be wondering, “Oh, well, Nepal is just Nepal. Other Countries are so developed, they have lots of stuff. There is no future here”. If something similar is in your head, I am going to compare your country with mine. Thailand.
Yes, Thailand is also a tourism country as it offers a lot of different taste to tourists from beautiful places to its deep rooted culture, food and money from U.S and EURO Goes further here just like as it does in your country (Nepal)
Thailand has about 67 Million Population and Nepal has somewhere between 26 to 28, as I understand. But this is solely from my Internet Research– although I would love to visit many countries like Nepal and see every corner of this mother earth. But it’s costly. So I should probably put that dream a side and do what I’m doing right now – study.
Many things are similar in poor to under-developed countries, such as roads, buses, infrastructures and so on.
If you are a teen, who is depressed thinking, your (Nepal) is poor, think again. Because it’s how you define poor might open your eyes.
As per my understanding, Nepal hasn’t had the pleasure to rule without distractions, and I understand that you have Prime Ministers, regular elections etc.
In Thailand, we have President, and PMs, and elections are also conducted in regular fashion a per the law. Do you think that Thailand has corruption problem just like your country? Absolutely. Like I said, It’s not only the poor countries that have this problem. Think of U.S. – the super power country, still has it. Remember how the Senate Seat of OBAMA was for sell, something that no one would imagine. Well, it’s here.
Just because they are leaders or highly ranked individuals does not mean they can’t have a normal life. But often they go a bit further. Even in the U.S. You might have heard of Senates stepping down because of misconduct such as cheating his wife, or not paying taxes for years and years, or showing moral that only hurts that people who elected them. So this goes same for Thailand and does for your country as well (I hope so)
Thailand might be richer because it has a lot of foreign companies who have their business here–boosting the employment and giving a lift to the Economy line year after year.
Just like in Nepal, Bike is very popular here. Teens love to ride bike. Hang out, party, and enjoy their tender age. Our unique culture and infinite dishes (literally) attracts tourists and Thai food is no exception. Adding to that, your food is equally tempting, and so in tourists business.
Nepal Imports vehicles made in Thailand. Climate here is often hot and snow is rare. This is same as in your country unless of course if Thailand had the highest mountain on earth and you and I were up in mountains near Everest!
The streets are colorful; with groceries and meat products of all types; you name it. Now you can pretty much compare it like the one you have over there which is called Thamel area where the smell of spices and crowd takes you to another place on this earth.
Although media tends to show a bit of negative of Thai such as prostitution etc, it does exist in your country too. So I can’t differential both Nepal and Thailand in that term. Some police are corrupted here, but is it not so in your country too.
In a nutshell, while our country’s size, climate and population may be different than yours, Thailand’s influence in Nepal can not be ignored.
Your country used to have a king. Now I hear there is no more.
Perhaps he is hiding somewhere in a secret location. Our Country does have King. Two countries having King in the context makes me feel like there is similarity in both countries.
While European Countries have captured many in their Arena, Thailand still remains untouched; totally unique, independent and a democratic country. To me, this sounds like; Nepal is not take by China nor by India. Come on now, how can they ignore a tiny country and also not even see it ? China–#1 in population worldwide and India–#2 in Population-wise.
A lot of Nepalese visit Bangkok, specially Rich Nepalese, and their primary shopping is jewelry. Gold is cheaper here than back home. So, they go wild here on Gold.
Not too long ago, Nepal was called, Kingdom of Nepal. Thailand is called The Kingdom of Thailand Today. If Nepali King comes back, similarity will exist. But you should know that a huge percentage of the Thai population admire and have tremendous respect for the King, something different to the King of Nepal.
Without FACTS, it’s not that easy to compare countries and say this country is exactly the same as this one. But there are many other countries that are similar to yours.
Soccer as known in the U.S. and Football in our countries like U.K, Thailand, Nepal, India, you name it, is a big sporting event.
Sticking to a Brand Name, Wearing good clothes, Fashion before food, and many other things that Nepal carry does not match here, nor the meat products such as insects.
Doing something for the school where we grew up, even to the teacher or building another class, is in our blood. I have no idea if this same in Nepali Culture.
Now, those were from me. Let me know if you find any difference.
Yes. Law can be broken in both the countries. It’s sad.
Thank you for reading this article. Have a wonderful day.
