Mediation For Health and Happiness

As We grow up, we learn about many things that are around us. During our growing up time, our life starts to touch with many things such as friends, family, job, money, relationships. It is during our early stage of youth, we realize the need to work to make money, set our goals for education and learn to give and take respect and love from family and friends. There is so much happening in our lives, sometime we need a break, a line that keeps us alone, a line that help us separate our good thoughts from bad. Meditation comes to our rescue.

In simple, meditation is a method of dumping thoughts from our mind. By doing that, we bring peace to our mind and reach higher level of consciousness. Doctors use Meditation techniques for anger management, for patients with severe cancer or other diseases. Our mind, body and soul are components for good heath and life. Meditation can boost our mind. It can make us more happier, healthier and give up fulfilling life.

Let us learn some techniques of meditation here.

  • Method 1 : View an object constantly. Look at an object and keep looking. If an thoughts come to your head, remember to clear it by saying to yourself, “I have to dump this” continue looking at the object. Do this for 15 mins everyday. Once you practice, you will become less and less aware of this that a
  • Method 2 : By closing your eyes. remember the meditation by Lord Buddha. This is very same method. Close your eyes, dump your thoughts. You can sit on the floor or on a chair or you could be on a bus. Meditate. Once you get the hang of it, external noise and disturbance will not reach to your ears, that’s how powerful meditation is.

It is important to share your knowledge with friends and family so they can also benefit from your knowledge.

If there are meditation centers or programs in your area, participate and learn more. Online video sharing sites such as youtube is a great place to find videos for relaxation or meditation. Keep in mind though, relaxation is totally different than meditation– in fact, the feeling of relaxed can be an outcome among others from meditation.

When I was in my 20s, I had a fellow person from United States. I forgot his name but I can’t forget the techniques, and his sincere hard work; trying to help many of us (who live in Kathmandu) understand and learn the method write. He was able to rent a place and introduce meditation then I realized that I could do this method not only there, but also at home and also share my knowledge with others.

It is extremely difficult to keep our mind (thoughts) empty that is why many beginners find it a bit hard to believe that through meditation you can achieve peace and even some health benefits such as lowering your high blood pressure. When you do at 100% for even five minutes of meditation that is upto the highest level, you will feel like floating above the earth or you will have similar pleasureful experience. Side effects include happiness and well being. So learn more. Start with a simple process, right  now if you would like. Close your eyes and think of nothing for about five minutes. Then open your eyes and see for yourself. If meditation seems to not work, it simply means, you are rushing or your mind is thinking too much, and or, you have yet to master it. Here is the final tip. Empty everything from your mind, and if you need help, simply look at an object for about a couple of minutes and do not question about the object or anything.
