I was alone, An empty vessel Life without purpose There was joy Still peculiarly strange I was but, I was not. Pleasures but not mine Possessed everything But, got nothing. Actions with no results There was aim But no destination Above all, I was a man with no purpose, A hopeless lad. Suddenly, There blinked a New Star in The remote horizon, And still is, Guiding me to the way of life. It has given me new perspectives, The dreams, meaning and the feelings to living, A reason to live. Here I declare to the world The Star is “U”. |
