Ways to Keep Yourself Busy
Many youth get hooked with drugs knowingly or unknowingly. Many of such cases are influenced by the type of friends you hangout with, the time you remain doing nothing, lack of close tie with family and due to depressions. Keeping your self busy can help you stay away from drugs and live a very healthy life style.
So how can you get busy still having fun, learning or even making money? Here are some tips listed as a guide. Don’t just limit to these, create your own list if you like.
- Get a job if your age permits you to work lawfully.
- Exercise. Take a morning walk.
- Volunteer for social works. It’s worth leaving your foot prints on the planet before you die! There are so many organizations, take part in social works; cleaning, fund raising, feeding the hungers, etc.
- Join a sports club such as football club, cricket club that are played afterschool and in weekends.
- Help your parents for daily chores such as washing clothes, cleaning, working in your graden, collecting garbage, etc.
- Read books; class books and others.
- Play musical instruments such as guitar
- Write poems, stories, articles, songs. You could also learn arts such as dancing, painting etc.
- Goto a Library, read books and papers
- Learn Foreign languages.
- Visit a temple or church. Spend some time outdoor learning about environment and nature.
Use every idle time you have for work, to learn, to have fun, to be creative and try to keep yourself busy as much as you can. Say goodbuy to boredom and say welcome to business, learning, creativity, and creating a solid path towards your bright future.

you could also join Youth Forum where youths come to discuss and analyse the different events going on in Nepal and abroad.
